HEIC is an Apple-exclusive file format, but other systems can now read it. Images saved in HEIC are very small (compressed), but they still have a high-resolution quality. Convert an HEIC image to JPG on iPhone

You can convert an image by creating a JPG copy from the Photos app.

1. Choose near the top of the screen in the Pictures app after opening it. The photos you want to convert are tapped.
